Davis twins headed to West Virginia

Twins Demitrious and Chris Davis, who left Pitt and walked on at Kentucky last season, apparently have decided to go to West Virginia.

Twitter accounts for the pair of former three-star prospects who sat out last season at UK, indicated they will be playing for the Mountaineers now. Their names have not appeared on the school’s official roster yet.

UK officials confirmed earlier this summer that the walkons, listed as a running back and cornerback on the 2014 spring roster, had parted ways with Kentucky.

In April, Kentucky’s Mark Stoops was asked about how the Davis twins, who had offers out of high school from schools like Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, Illinois, Oregon, Oregon State and West Virginia, had looked.

“They’re doing OK. They’re doing OK,” he said. “They’ll have a hard time getting some playing time here right now. But they’re doing OK.”
