Kentucky has not yet determined when spring practice will start, but could have those dates as well as a finalized date for the Blue-White Spring Game by as early as the end of this week, Tony Neely said.

Last season, after the hire of Stoops, Kentucky saw a record 50,831 show for its spring game at Commonwealth Stadium.

At least an equal number, maybe standing room only.

If we have more than 20,000 at this year’s spring game that will show a greater serious support for the program than last year’s 50,000+ did IMO. There’s no longer the “novelty” of balls potentially filling the sky and only a few newcomers will be on board in the spring. So those who come out will more likely be serious Cat fans–not gawkers.

The most excitement I’m looking forward to will be in watching the tremendous QB battle among five candidates—if the staff will give us some straight poop on how they are faring now and then. But with another glut of talent—at RB—we just might have such a strong running attack that we won’t need to pass a la Mumme’s Air Raid.
