Kentucky fans will get another chance to put 50,000 into Commonwealth Stadium before a game is played there in Aug. 9 for UK’s annual Football Fan Day.
Gates open at 6 p.m. and festivities will include an autograph session, an open practice along with a fireworks show. Admission and parking are both free.
Posters and schedule cards will be given out at gates 1, 4, 9 and 12 at 5:30 p.m. for an autograph on the main concourse. The autograph session with be completed at 7:15 and open practice will start at 7:30 p.m.
“After seeing the crowd and enthusiasm in Commonwealth Stadium for the Blue/White Game a few months ago we are very anxious to get back in front of the Big Blue Nation,” UK head coach Mark Stoops said in the release. “Fan Day is not only an opportunity for our players to interact with our great fans, but for us to get on the Commonwealth Stadium field and get some work in. We are very excited to get the players here for fall camp and get this season going.”
UK’s fall camp will open earlier in the week, with newcomers scheduled to report on Aug. 3 and Aug. 4.
