Cats punter on pre-season watch list

Sophomore Landon Foster was named to the 2013 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List on Wednesday given to the nation’s top punter. Foster, who set a freshman record for yards per punt average (42.9). It’s the third time in the past four seasons that Kentucky’s punter has been on the pre-season list.

Others on the list of 25 up for the top honor are fellow Southeastern Conference punters Kyle Christy (Florida), Steven Clark (Auburn).

The winner will be announced on Dec. 12 on ESPN during the Home Depot College Football Awards.
